Kvækerfinke og Gulspurv

Another wonderful day with a lot of sun and almost no wind.
The ringing session has improved.Today 19 birds were ringed, including a small flock of Fringilla montifringilla that was caught in the last standard hour.

The only female in the 11 Bramblings caught

After the ringing period, I gave some help to Hans. He was making a big hole in the beach, near the harbor. The intention is to break a concrete tube that is buried through the beach. The sea water pass to the tube to the small lagoon nearby. It will be important to stop that water passage because the salt water prevent some herpetofauna from successfully reproduce in the lagoon. Unfortunately the water also star appear in the hole and we had to stop. However soon we will go there again with a pump and take the water out and we will finish the job.
