The start

Today the ringing season started.
In the morning a clear sky and weak wind from the North were felt in the garden.
In the first 3 hours of the day, some finches (greenfinches, siskins, chaffinches) and great tis were here but suddenly they were just gone. During the rest of the day everything was quiet, the exception were the skylarks that were flying over the station during all day, and a tawny owl (seen twice in the afternoon) and a sparrowhank.
Regarding the ringing, around 20 birds were caught and the most common was the siskin.
