The numbers of migrants around our garden seems to drop for the last few days as North winds are still blowing. In fact, this morning the ringing has been slower than yesteday with just 12 new birds ringed, the Meadow Pipit being the main star of the day: First for the spring 2016 and also new for Andreas!!! In addition a Serin was heard calling when it flew over the garden and Benny has spotted the first Redstart!!!! Hopefully tomorrow, if the weather conditions allow us to open the nets, we will trap one male at least!!!!Looking forward for this, as it will be my first time on the hand!!!!!

Today we have also had a guiding in the garden. Despite the weather conditions, (quite cold and a bit of rain just at then end), our visitors has enjoyed an introduction to ringing made by Hans, Benny and Andreas, making many interesting question. They have also had the opportunity to watch the Meadow Pipit, one Chiffchaff and Dunnock in hand!
