Today was a
bad day for birdringing with not many presence of bird at garden and with some
wind. We ringed only 10 birds, being 5 of them females of chaffinch. Lesser whitethroat and common redstart were
ringed as well.
So, the
very few birds from today were insufficient for us and we decide to done
birdwaching at the very tip of the cape. We could watch at morning one adult of
sea eagle landing on the field between the ringing station and the very tip and
then being throwing out by gulls, giving us a nice show. Then, at evening we
had the same situation, with the sea eagle at the adjacent field, but this time
with 3 eagles; one adult, 1 immature and one with juvenile plumage. Then in others field near Gedser village we
watched a flock of wagtail with 90 apx. of white wagtail and 13 of yellow
wagtail.
From
another side, Susanne who came yesterday and that she is ringer trainee,
watched a black kite at Bøtø Nor.
