At the
first hours of the morning we have been very busy ringing, mainly because the
interruption of willow warbler. We catch a total of 55 birds with 21 willow
warbler. Also we are still having a important number of dunnocks (11)
After two
rounds plenty of birds in the third round we caught a treecreeper, first for
this season. Having now less bird to
ring we could spend some time to identify the specie. Measuring the hind claw,
very short, and the longitude of the bill we could determine that it was a
short toed treecreeper.
