We had a
calm day with half of birds, 31, with regards from yesterday, 64. The morning
was cold and there were frost that it made the mistnets a little bit wet and
after one hour of work we hadn't catch many birds.
Anayway, we had a remarkable specie for today; five house sparrows! We have been looking at database and we found that in one day we ringed more house sparrows than the total captures of some whole years...
One of the
last bird from the morning was the first white wagtail from this year. The
pictures show the delimited transition between black and grey at nape typical, from males, and the more extended black at the throat.
And
finally, this evening, after lunch, Michael and I have been relaxing doing
gardening works.
