Ring with children :)

Hola everybody.
First, sorry for not write mi chronicle yesterday. It was a strange evening for me.
The ringing session was so good, here are the results:

- Solsort/ Blackbird 1
- Gulbug/ Icterine warbler 1
- Gærdesanger/ Lesser white throat 1
- Tornsanger/ Whitethroat 5
- Havesanger/ Green warbler 1
- Løvsanger/ Willow warbler 1
- Træløber/ Eurasian treecreper 1
- Bogfinke/ Chaffinch 2
- Tornirisk/ Linnet 1
- Karmindompap/ Rosefinch 1

I alt: 15 birds of 10 species :)

Many special things for yesterday!! the Træløber was my first ringed!!! :D oki, In Spain we have it, but I had not ringed it before. I was so happy. And the other new specie for my list: Karmindompap, this special bird is not very common here, but we don´t have it Spain!!!! New for me in whole aspects.

But, I think, the most special thing of yesterday, were the visitors: a lot of children! who were here to learn about birds. The experience was so funny. I love children, is so easy work with them, I did it before when I was working in Spain. (Thank you to everybody for this special and different day)

How are you today? Here in Gedser Odde, today has been a great day of ringing, with a lot of sunny. Now is cloudy but...doesn´t matter.

The species of today:
- Gul Vipstjert/ Yellow wagtail 1
- Rørsanger/ Reed Warbler 1
- Gulbug/ Icterine warbler 3
- Gærdesanger/ Lesser whitethroat 3
- Tornsanger/ Whitethroat 5
- Havesanger/ Garden Warbler 2
- Munk/ Blackcap 2
- Tornirisk/ Linnet 1
I alt: 17 birds of 8 species + 6 recaptures = 23 birds!!! Great day

More good news : D My danish list has been increased with 3 names...of Ducks!!! My first day of "duck- watching".hehehe Thank you very much Gert!! I´will be a little bored without you. Have a good travel to my country (I really miss it) and I hope you enjoy it a lot. I´m sure that you are going to bring  me some wonderful photos of my loved Spain.

My 3 new species:
- Hvinand (B. clangula)
- Troldand ( A.fuligula)
- Knarand (A.strepera).

Tomorrow we have a special visit of some children :) to see the ringing. It will be funny sure. I will tell you!!!!!

Bird watching day

Hello!!
I´m here again. Today has been a very strange day to ringing. Early in the morning was raining, so, I couldn´t open the nets until 6:00, two hour later than normal time!! And I had a very windy, cloudy and cold day. Only in the last round the sun was shinning. But the wind continued.

With this conditions the ringing hasn´t been very good:
- Tornsanger/ White throat 4
- Munk/ Blackcap 1
- Rødrygget Tornskad/ Red baked- shrike 1 (NEW SPECIE FOR ME!!!! :D so beautiful, a male)
- Skovspurv / Treesparrow 1

I alt: 7 birds of 4 species + 1 recapture

At the end of the session has come Gert (Thank for your visits ), and we have gone to the southest point of Denmark, a really interesting place :) Here was Louis Hansen seeing birds.

Together we have enjoyed of a really grateful time of bird watching. We have seen a lot of new raptors for me (I will show you in next chronicles, I promise), and a lot of beautiful birds. I have enjoyed of the bird watching a lot, I really hope that we will repeat next weekend. I´m crossing my fingers!!!! :D Thank you very very very much, Louis, for your lessons, and for your patience with mi English :) I´m improving it.

Today I don´t have much time, but my next chronicle will be better.

Very special bird

Good night every body!!

It´s  raining in Gedser now!! I hope tomorrow it will stop. I really wanna ring. 

Today has been a great ringing day for me, for different reasons:

a) I have caught one specie that was new for me. I have never ringed it before, here or in spain. My first Spætmejse!!!

b)Today I had a lot of visits...A father with his daughter (Anders and Liu), thank you for the visit, and for your help, Louis Hansen (Thank you for your advises, I hope to go to see birds with you someday), Gert (thanks for the photos of seals!! the morning is always funny with you), and sorry very much, there was another men, but I can´t remember his name, thanks for the help to you too.And thanks to everybody with the help with the Spætmejse.

Increasing my list

Good evening everybody!!

Since I'm in Denmark I'm doing a list. I really want to learn danish, so in my list I put the birds that I ring every day, in English, in Spanish, and in Danish. I'm really confident in learn more if I see the list every day.

Thanks to Hans, Gert and Henrik for your lessons :)

Well, my list have 25 different species of birds, the two last acquisitions have been :
- Dunnok/ Acentor común/ Jernspurv
- Greenfinch/Verderón/ Grønirisk

The Greenfinch is from today, a good ringing day with 13 birds of 9 species + 2 recaptures:
- Solsort/ Blackbird 1
- Rørsanger/ Reed warbler 1
- Gulbug / Icterine Warbler 2
- Gærdesanger/Lesser whitethroat 2
- Tornsanger/Whitethroat 2
- Havesanger/ Garden warbler 1
- Gransanger/ Chifchaf 1
- Løvsanger/Willow warbler 2
- Grønirisk/Greenfinch 1

Furthermore, today, I have had a wonderful excursion with Gert to Avnø, where we have seen a lot of seals and swans!!!! It's a really beautiful place to see this lovely animals :) I have had the opportunity, too, to taste the "sweet bread" a typical danish bread. That was delicious. Thank you very much for all Gert!!
And thank you to all the people of Gedser, you make me feel  like in home.

Spanish girl in Fuglestation

Hello !!

Today has been my first day alone at GFU, and it has been a good day, with a lot of birds flying and singing. It´s breeding time!!! :D Early we will see a lot of young birds in this place.

The station is beautiful, with a lot of colored flowers and sunny whole day.

The ringing session has been really well, with 17 new birds of 10 species, + 3 recaptures. So, 20 birds in total:

- Rørsanger- Reed warbler 2
