Despite it being a fairly windy morning we still managed to ring 215 birds today. As per the past few days the majority of the birds caught were Robins and Goldcrests. Blackbird numbers appear to be increasing as we caught three this morning. A late Redstart on the final net round at midday was also a nice surprise, maybe the last of the season.

There were a lot of raptors around today, at least ten Red Kite flying low over the garden early this morning and plenty of Sparrowhawks, three of which we caught in the nets, including a very nice adult male.
Around mid morning we were also treated to an impressive display of around 50 Cranes flying over the garden.
