Too windy for standard

Strong winds this morning meant that we couldn't go ahead with standard banding this morning.

There were however lots of raptors again so the Sparrowhawk nets were up for most of the day after the wind had decreased a bit and rewarded us with four Sparrowhawks, one Blackbird and two Song Thrush.

Conditions overnight look good to push a lot of migrating birds down into the garden so with a bit of luck we'll have a busy morning tomorrow and a bit more to write about in the blog!
