North winds were still blowing this morning which has led to a decreasing number of migrants around the area. Athough all nests but one were opened, we had a quite morning with just 31 birds ringed. 2 Firecrests and the second Willow wabler of the spring were our highlight ringing for today.
The rain has just arrived on time when we were just closing the nest, and hopefully this rain has brought new birds into our garden. We are also looking forward to the wind direction change to South or Southeast as this means more birds around the area (including some southern species!!!!)
